Corrugated Slitter, Slotter and Cut-Off Knives
Corrugated production uses different tools to slit board lengthwise, cut slots and make transverse cut-offs. Ragged edges, crushed flutes or inconsistent cuts can result from blade condition, profile, clearance, board grade or machine setup.
Identify the cutting station before selecting corrugated board knives. Check the machine model, mounting pattern, tooth or edge profile, orientation and mating components against the approved drawing; slitter, slotter and cut-off knives are not interchangeable.
Material grade and heat treatment should be reviewed for the board, cutting duty and sharpening plan. A named steel or carbide construction does not guarantee longer service life without application-specific evidence.
